Removal Procedure

  • Remove the air cleaner intake duct.
  • Partially drain the cooling system.
  • Reposition the hose clamp from the water outlet housing. graphic

  • Remove the radiator inlet hose from the water outlet housing.graphic

  • Remove the exhaust crossover heat shield bolts.
  • Remove the exhaust crossover heat shield.
  • Remove the exhaust crossover pipe nuts.graphic
  • Remove the exhaust crossover pipe.graphic
  • Remove the water outlet housing bolts.

  • Remove the water outlet housing and the gasket.graphic
  • Remove the thermostat.

  • Clean the water outlet mating surfaces.
