97 1500 5.7 suburban 200,000 miles,low oil pressure at idle,low oil light comes on, no rattle from bearing or lifters,had mechanic replace low sending unit,oil pump,and rod bearings, same low oil pressure,can not remember what the oil pressure has been before but sure it was always above 20 at idle,is there any place that the oil can leak internally as there is no external oil leaks

Hello <a href="http://www.justanswer.com/profile.aspx?PF=28943284&FID=26"CustomerMost of the time on these engines, the cam bearings wear and cause the low oil pressure at idle and the pressure pick up at a highter rpm. Not much diagnostic can be done other than tearing it apart and rebuilding the engine. Do make sure you are using a good quality oil filter. I have seen cheep oil filter cause low pressure problems.
