i have a 2005 cobalt, i need to replace the clutch slave cylinder. What is the procedure? Do I have to take tranny apart or can I access it from outside the tranny?

You must first remove the transmission from the vehicle. Once you have removed the transmission, there are 3 bolts that hold the slave cylinder in place.
