2002 chevy: suburban..intermittently..stalls..FuelPump

Resolved Question:

2002 chevy z71 suburban 127k -

truck intermittently stalls and generally lacks any power when stepping hard on gas.

Service Engine Soon light is on.

Codes indicate Ox Sensor #1 bad for both Bank 1 and Bank 2.

Some folks say could be Fuel Pump or Mass Air Flow Sensor.

Any ideas or advice before I plunk down money to go to Dealer?

Welcome. Start with a fuel filter. If that does not work, then test the fuel system pressure. It should be 55-62 psi or 48-55 psi if you have the flex fuel issue.

I doubt very much that the sensors are bad.

Thanks for the reply. I forgot to mention that it is indeed a Flex Fuel model. Any idea what to expect for a fair/typical price for the dealer to charge me for a filter replace? Fuel pump r & r?

Fuel filter, 60 to 90, pump 700-900 or so.
