Resolved Question:

The gas gauge on my 2000 Impala chevolet is not working correctly. Could it be a sensor or fuse? How much would it cost to repair?

HelloCustomer what is the gauge doing?
Customer: replied 7 years ago.
Sometimes it is registering that there is gas when I know it's much less and some times when I put gas in it registers more than what I put in .

Okay. If the gauge is wroking, but not registering the proper amount of fuel then the problem is in the fuel level sensor in the gas tank. It is common for this sensor to short out and give false readings. You will need to replace this sensor. It usually costs about $350-400 to fix this.
