2005 chevy: interior..lock switch dont work , door locks will work

2005 chev equinox interior doors lock switch dont work , door locks will work with remote.

  • Gently pull at the top end of the extension panel cover to disengage the attaching clips.
  • Lift the extension panel out from behind the door trim panel.

  • While holding the extension panel, disconnect the electrical connector from the speaker.

  • Remove the armrest trim cover.

  • Remove the door trim panel fasteners.

  • Remove the door trim panel. Refer to Front Side Door Trim Panel Replacement .

  • Use a flat-bladed tool to pry the switch from the door handle assembly.
  • Disconnect the electrical connector. Remove the switch.
  • Customer: replied 7 years ago.
    Its not the door switch's that are the problem. Both of them dont work when you press on them. But when you use the remote to unlock them they work.

    ok check the LOCK/MIRROR fuse located right side of center console, if still good remove both lock switches, make sure you have power on the orange wires and ground on the other wires, if the power is missing reply back so we can trace the open circuit, if ground is missing the problem is a bad body control module. good luck. and please accept my answer. thanks T-MAN
