Hello,

 

It is a 2002 Chev Impala, eng is a 3.4 Used a Digital OBD2 code reader and that was the code i got ( PO742 Torque converter clutch circuit stuck on).

looks like it is most likely the tcc release switch which is part of the tfp manual valve position switch mounted to the transmission valve body you will need to drop the pan and remove the swotch check it for any debris that may have gotten in it from other transmision faiulures if it is clean i would change the switch
