What happens when you try to use the key?

Customer: replied 7 years ago.
Not sure if my message went through or not, the key just turns but the door won't unlock, and the remote won't unlock vehicle either.

Hello again.

Does this trailblazer have a keyed lock on passenger side of vehicle?

Try the key over there.

It sounds like the door lock linkage clip has come off inside the drivers door and is not allowing the door lock to open with key. Hopefully you can get in through the passenger door. Otherwise you will need a "slim jim" tool to get into vehicle.

Once in you will need to pull door panel to inspect for linkage problems.

Also charge or replace vehicle battery and check battery in remote.

Chances are the door lock linkage has been off since last time someone slim jimmed vehicle or maybe clip just broke. You probably did not know because you always use the remote.

Let me know if there is anything else I can do.

Thanks and take care, Steven

Only has key lock on passenger side, I'm going to try to use other key tonight, I was told that slim jim might not open it from Dealership, so I'm scared that I might have to break window. Is that true? All I want to do is to get in so we can get under the hood to put a new battery in so vehicle is operable.
Expert:  Dr Chevy replied 7 years ago.

No, not true.

A slim jim will be able to grab onto the linkage that connects to the interior door handle.

Other option is if someone can crawl up from underneath and put jumper cables onto positive starter cable on starter and ground to the motor block or fame of vehicle. This should allow you to open the locks with the remote.

I'm taking my other set of keys over tonight, if the other key won't open it then I'm going to call roadside assistance as I have onstar and like I said onstar couldn't get vehicle unlocked due to not driving within last 48 hours to see if they can help me as I'm running out of options. Thanks for your help!

On star will not work if your battery is dead.
