WE JUST SWAPPED OUT THE TRANSMISSION. FACTORY, HOW DO I KNOW WHAT CAPACITY? DO YOU NEED TRANS TYPE?

OK, you need to use Dexron VI. Below is the chart with the capacity. The final level is be checked on the dipstick.

I REMOVED THE OIL PAN AND REPLACED WITH 6 QUARTS OF OIL. THE TRANS, I PUT 11 QUARTS IN. THE DIP STICK IS A PAIN AND HARD TO READ. THATS THE REASON I WANTED TO DOUBLE CHECK.
I know with the vans it is, but the best is to have it warm. Then you need to wait for the fluid to run down the tube to get an accurate reading.
