MY 2001 Chevy Silverado wont start after running for a while.

Resolved Question:

MY 2001 Chevy Silverado won't start after running for a while. If I leave the truck alone for a couple of hours then it starts. The starter has been checked, battery checked and I've replace the electrical solenoid switches (3 of them) under the hood of the truck. The truck is a standard ext cab,XXXXX small V6 with auto.

WelcomeCustomer what happens when you try to start it after it is warm?
Customer: replied 7 years ago.

The engine won't crank over, but all the engine lights are on. If you leave the truck for a couple of hours then it will start like normal.

Does the security flash at all? Have you completed any other repairs?
Customer: replied 7 years ago.
No security flash. There has been no other repairs done to the truck.

OK. The first thing I would check is the battery cables at the battery, the engine ground and the positive on the starter. If they are good, the you need to test the small wire on the starter when the key is in the crank position. There should be power at it. If so then you have a bad starter. Is suspect you will find a loose connection at the starter. Let me know what you find.

It's not starter, it has been checked. Battery cables have been checked. But thanks for your effort.

I will go ahead and accept the answer since you spent some time on it.

How has the starter been checked? You could also check the starter relay.
