2004 GMC Envoy: a p300 DTC and Engine Misfire at Idle..leaking

Resolved Question:

I have a 2004 GMC Envoy that misfires at idle. Was told it could be a P0300 DTC and Engine Misfire at Idle - Posible leaking intake valve. How big of a job is it to fix this? hours, material total cost.

Welcome Takennedy. If this is the intake valves, the fix is to replace the head and valves. The head is about 2800 and the gasket kit is about 400 and a time of 9 hours. If the shop quotes you 23 hours, go and visit a dealer. There is a special tool that will allow this repair to happen with out removing the oil pan or front cover. Please ask if you need more information.
