MY 1995 CHEVY 1500 WT WITH A 4.3L V6 WILL NOT START AFTER SITTING AND THE ENGINE IS COLD. IT WILL JUST TURN OVER BUT ACTS LIKE IT IS NOT GETTING GAS. ALTHOUGH I SMELL GAS. AFTER i TRY REPEATLY TO START i WALK AWAY AND CAN COME BACK 2 TO 3 HRS LATER AND IT WILL START. dO YOU KNMOW WHAT IT COULD BE.

The problem you described could be caused by either ignition or fuel system.
I would check the fuel pressure at first. It involves using special fuel pressure gauge and adaptor. The fuel pressure must be 55-64 PSI( ignition on , engine off) and it shouldn't drop.
It is also good idea to tune up your ignition system( spark plugs, wires, rotor, cap) if you haven't done it recently.
