if you have good fuel pressure, unplug the MAP sensor connector and if the engine will now run replace the sensor. the only other thing it could be if you have spark and fuel is a restricted exhaust system (catalytic converter), to check remove the cats, the oxygen sensors, or the EGR valve pipe and if it runs replace the cats. good luck. i hope i helped and please accept my answer. thanks T-MAN

is the MAP and the TBI the same thing or are they different?

MAP and TBI (throttle body injection) is defferent.
