This will require removal of the fan shroud and the fan clutch for the most part. The fan clutch is tricky due to the fact that you need a fan clutch removal tool to unthread it from the waterpump hub. Here is what you will be getting into.

  2. Remove the drive belt.
  3. Remove the upper fan shroud.

  10. Remove the fan clutch from the coolant pump using J 41240 .
  11. 2.1. Install J 41240-1 into the water pump access holes.
  12. 2.2. With J 41240-2 secure on the fan clutch nut, hold J 41240-1 firmly in place while turning J 41240-2 counter-clockwise.

  26. Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified. These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.
