98 S10: wont start..Instrument Panel Battery Light..lights come

Customer Question

98 S10 Truck won't start. Instrument Panel Battery Light is the only lamp that lights when the key switch is turned on. Usually several lights come on momentarily, and fuel pump runs.

HelloCustomer check for power through your fuse box. When the ignition switch fails, it doesn't send power to much of the fuse box and sounds like your situation. If you find that some of the fuses that should have power with the key on are dead, suspect a faulty ignition switch. They are problematic.
