2005 Chevy Aveo: Oh Please help me replace the crankshaft sensor

This answer was rated:

Oh Please help me replace the crankshaft sensor on my 2005 Chevy Aveo. I love this car, but can't believe it's already giving me trouble. I need instructions. Thank you in advance.

The crankshaft position sensor is located on the side of the engine block towards the front of the car. It is located just below the oil filter. Refer to illustration below.

  • Disconnect the crankshaft position (CKP) sensor electrical connector.
    Object Number:(NNN) NNN-NNNN Size: SH

  • Remove the CKP sensor bolt.
  • Remove the CKP sensor.

Hi! I want to accept your answer, but is there really only one bolt to remove and then 1 piece to replace? I ordered the part today and should be ready Monday. Sounds so easy. Is this something I can do myself? I am, after all, a woman! hahahahaa.
It is a very easy task to perform. I would not hesitate for my wife to do it. If you need any more assistance let me know.
