2001 GMC Sonoma: the cam position sensor located..vortec..TBI

Where is the cam position sensor located on a 2001 GMC Sonoma with a 4.3 vortec and TBI?

hello. the camshaft position sensor is located in the distributor housing... see pic below. it is removed by removing the distributor cap, then the distributor rotor, then the 2 bolts in the camshaft sensor mounting.
