Turn signals and hazard lights not working, bulbs and fuses checked

Resolved Question:

turn signals and hazard lights not working, bulbs and fuses checked

Hello & Welcome,

The things that both the hazard and turn signals seem to have in common is the Hazard Flasher & the turn sign switch.

The flasher unit is located in the fuse block and should be tried first (easier).

Here is a schematic of the system, with the flasher highlighted.

Please let me know what you find.

Hi again,

Sorry about that. Sometimes I forget that I am not working with another tech in the shop.

Here are the instructions for replacing the Flasher unit, and a picture of what it will look like. It may not be exactly like this picture, but it should be pretty close.

Hazard and Turn Signal Flasher Replacement

Removal Procedure

  1. Remove the knee bolster. See procedure below.

  2. On the back side of the fuse block release the retainer while pulling the flasher (1) outwards.
  3. Remove the flasher (1) from the fuse block.

Installation Procedure

  1. Install the flasher (1) to the fuse block until the retainer clicks into place.
  2. Install the knee bolster. See procedure below

Here are a couple of other procedures that you may need to get to this area. These are referred to in the above procedure, and a PDF files that you should be able to view on your computer and print.
