2005 chevy impala had a minor tune up done. Car lose power when its going up hill.

There are 2 possibilities, 1. the fuel pump is weak, connect a fuel pressure gauge and test fuel pressure. 2. The catalytic converter is restricted, disconnect exhaust pipe from manifold and test drive. If power is restored, the catalytic converter is the problem.


The catalytic converter is covered by GM up to 80,000 miles. This is a common problem on these cars.
