Do you have replacement antenna that you are attempting to install?
Is this a factory antenna?
The factory antenna wire does not make it to the radio there is a "splice" or extension cable on the end.
First the Instrument panel upper cover is removed
Instrument Panel Upper Trim Pad Replacement Set the air flow control to the instrument panel (IP) vent position if equipped with air conditioning (A/C).
Radio Antenna Replacement
Ensure part of the wire is still in the vehicle
Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified. These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.
Tighten Tighten the bolts to 5 N·m (44 lb in).
Notice: Use tape on the tool surface so that you do not damage the paint on the antenna mast.
Tighten Tighten the mast to 6 N·m (53 lb in).
