2005 Chevy trailblazer: Wont even turn over..happened twice

This answer was rated:

My 2005 Chevy trailblazer won''t start but all the elctronics turn on when i put in the key. Won''t even turn over. It has happened twice in the past week, then it will run for a day then no start. Battery is fine as well. Tow guy suggested it might have something to do with the security system. Could be in lockdown?
If the battery cables are clean, tight and corrosion free suspect a faulty ignition switch. These can cause no-starts, cluster to be inop, transmission to stay in 2nd or 3rd gear, shifter to stay in park or gear, etc. Verify power to all fuses that should have power with key on (IGN, ECM, etc. fuses). If no power then replace the ignition switch and retest. It's very common for these switches to fail and no-starts to occur.

Thanks Dan...there is an advisory as well that pertains to the ignition switch so that looks to be the problem. Thanks again
