how do i reset the theft system on my 2000 chevy malibu

Its not a reset but a learn of the theft code-it will work if the theft deterent sensor in the ignition cylinder has shifted voltage and not if a wire broke.Go to start the car and release from crank-wait about 10 minutes for the theft light to stop flashing then turn the key off for 30 seconds and repeat the process.It will take about 30 minutes and start on the 3rd try.
