Are the dash lights coming on and staying on bright?

Is there a security light on or flashing?

Does it make any noise when you try to start it?

Is it a standard or auto trans?
Customer: replied 8 years ago.
Dash lights are on and bright as well as the headlights if turned on. No noise is made when ignition is turned to the start position. Automatic trans (hve tried in bboth park & neutral). No security lite on or flashing.

There is a yellow wire coming out of the ignition switch and going to the neutral safety switch. The power comes back out of the neutral switch and goes to the starter on a purple wire.

You need to go to the neutral switch and test for power arriving and leaving while someone holds the key in "start" position.

What you find there will determine the next step.

Where is the neutral switch and what does it look like?
Expert:  Wrenchtech replied 8 years ago.
They're calling it a Park/neutral switch and it's mounted to the top of the steering column, near the floor.
