Envoy: 4.2L has vibration problem..steering clutch..idler

Resolved Question:

03GMC Envoy with 4.2L has vibration problem at 650RPMs vibration is bad enough that you feel in steering wheel and dash. Have replaced water pump, fan blades, fan clutch and idler pulleys. Vibration goes away when you remove the drive belt and returns when you replace the belt. Vibration also goes away when RPMs go above 800. Please help.

G.M. has a new redesigned steering gear to correct this concern. the problem is internal in the steering gear itself. this problem usually shows itself during low speed operation and parking lot maneuvers.
