HiCustomer Thank you for asking your question on Just Answer.

Are you having a particular problem with the seats?

What seat (or seats) do you want to remove?

Thanks

Customer replied 1880 days and 10 hours ago.

I am removing all the seats front and back but it looks like the front seats has a stud that goes through the floor board, is that right or am i looking at it the wrong way.

Hi again.

I am assuming that these are bucket seats in the front. Here is the procedure for removing them. Please let me know if this looks correct.

Seat Replacement - Front Bucket

Removal Procedure

  1. Move the seat full forward.
  2. Remove the seat belt anchor bolt from the front seat assembly.

  3. Remove the front seat mounting fasteners and tilt the seat forward.
  4. Disconnect the electrical wire harness and remove the push-in fastener from beneath the seat.
  5. Remove the seat.

Installation Procedure

  1. Install the seat into the vehicle.

  2. Connect the electrical wire harness and install the push-in fastener beneath the seat.
  3. Install the front seat mounting fasteners. Tighten

Tighten the fasteners to 45 N·m (33 lb ft).

    Important

Verify that the shoulder belt is not twisted.

  4. Install the seat belt anchor bolt to the front seat assembly.

I also have a diagram I found at gmpartsdirect.com that shows the parts for the front seats.

I can see how you remove the rear bolts but how do you remove the front bolts?

Hi again.

From the documents, it looks like the seat should just come out of the front when tilted up. Here is the procedure for replacing the adjuster that shows a pretty good diagram.

Seat Adjuster Replacement - Front

Removal Procedure

Caution: Refer to SIR Caution in Cautions and Notices.

  1. Remove the front seat from the vehicle.
  2. Remove the cushion cover and the pad from the front seat.

  3. Remove the seat adjuster fasteners.
  4. Remove the seat adjuster from the seat frame.

Installation Procedure

  1. Install the seat adjuster to the seat frame and secure with the adjuster fasteners.

    Tighten

Tighten the fasteners to 30 N·m (22 lb ft).

  2. Install the cushion cover and the pad to the front seat.
  3. Install the front seat to the vehicle.

Please let me know if that helps.

Thanks, XXXXX
