I have a 2000 Corvette 6 speed and the problem that I have is that as soon I release the cluth pedal the car dies,so I can not move the car normal, It runs great but when I want to go in gear it goes but for just a few inches the the car dies,I just put a brand new clutch assembly and I check the transmission while it was out, it turns normal with the hand and it goes in all the gears perfect
Optional Information: 2000 Chevrolet Corvette 5.7Already Tried: New Cluth Assembly,I check Transmission Manually and It works on all the gears
Helloruso66,
I am thinking that this problem just started after you replaced the clutch.Did you use GM parts ,& were they the same as what came out of it?Did you replace clutch, pressure plate, throw out bearing,& pilot bearing (in the end of the crankshaft)? If you used different parts some pressure plates will dump the clutch when deactivated. If you are not used to this the car will die.If you did not use new parts you could have a failed clutch disc(warped) & even then there is allways a bad part.
