Front Fender Replacement

Removal Procedure

  1. Apply tape to corners of panel and adjacent surfaces to help prevent paint damage.
  2. Remove the hood.
  3. Remove the hood hinge.
  4. Remove the front fender liner.
  5. Remove the front fender sound insulator.
  6. Remove the washer solvent container from the right fender.
  7. Remove the rocker panel molding.
  8. Remove the body side molding, if required.

  9. Remove the bolts from the fender at the door hinge pillar.

  10. Remove the bolts from the fender at the rocker panel.
    Object Number: 363624  Size: SH

  11. Remove the bolts from the fender at the front compartment side rail.
    Object Number: 363644  Size: SH

  12. Remove the bolts from the fender at the lower engine compartment side rail.
  13. Remove the fender from the vehicle.

Installation Procedure


    Object Number: 363624  Size: SH

  1. Install the fender to the vehicle

    Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified. These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.

  2. Install the bolts to the fender at the front compartment side rail.

    Tighten
    Tighten the front Fender to Engine Compartment Side Rail Bolts to 10 N·m (89 lb in).

  3. Install the bolts to the fender at the rocker panel.

    Tighten
    Tighten the fender to rocker panel bolts to 10 N·m (89 lb in).

  4. Install the bolts to the fender at the door hinge pillar.

    Tighten
    Tighten the fender to door hinge pillar bolts to 10 N·m (89 lb in).

  5. Install the bolts to the fender at the lower engine compartment side rail.

    Tighten
    Tighten the Fender to Lower Engine Compartment Side Rail Bolts to 5 N·m (45 lb in).

  6. Install the washer solvent container to the right fender.
  7. Install the front fender sound insulator.
  8. Install the front fender liner.
  9. Install the hood hinge.
  10. Install the hood.
  11. Install the rocker panel molding.
  12. Remove the protective tape.
  13. Install the body side molding, if required.
