TORQUE SPECS FOR MAIN AND ROD BEARINGS FOR 3800 SERIES II ...

Resolved Question:

TORQUE SPECS FOR MAIN AND ROD BEARINGS FOR 3800 SERIES II TURBOCHARGED ENGINE

The specifications do not end in a foot lb measurement for either, but here they are.

Connecting rod bolts:

#1 step 20ft lbs.

#2 step additional 50 degrees.

Main cap bolts:

#1 step 30ft lbs.

#2 step additional 110 degrees.

Hopes this helps. There is a tool called a torque angle meter to accuratley know how far to turn the bolts. The are expensive. Good luck!
