I am having trouble connecting to this hot spot decice i just got
JA: What's the make/model of your device? How old is it?
Customer: device*
JA: How long has this been going on? What troubleshooting have you tried?
Customer: well the device tells me to connect to the wifi, which my phone did once i entered the password, then it said to go to http://vz.hotspot to connect
JA: Anything else you want the phone expert to know before I connect you?
Customer: my phone says im connected but the hot spot wont connect to my iphone

I turned on the hotspot. i then went on my phone to wifi and connect using the password ***** on the hot spot device, and my phone said it was connected. after that, still nothing was working on my phone data wise, so I looked into the hot spot device. I found something that said go to http://vz.hotspot and connect, which i did, and it said "connection error". I found another option on the hot spot that says "connect" so i clicked out, and it responded moments
later " could not connect"

No other way to verify. Lets try this please:

  1. With the device powered on, locate the reset button next to the USB cord connector of the device.
  2. Depress the reset button for 10 seconds.
    Use an unfolded paper clip or similar object.
    Your device will display "Restoring factory settings" and power off and back on again.

I use lte/cdma. It sounds like the sim card is not activated on the account correctly or it is corrupt.
