My tracfone (ZTE Z979C) resets every hour, including through the night. Chimes, goes to blue screen, then to login screen. Does not reset the uptime counter. Ran avast virus check - returns OK. Now what?

  1. With the device turned off, press and hold the Volume Up and Power buttons until the ZTE logo screen appears, then release.
    Press the Volume down button to highlight wipe data/factory reset.
  2. Press the Power button to select.
  3. Press the Volume down button repeatedly until Yes -- delete all user data is highlighted.
  4. Press the Power button to select.
  5. Wait as the device resets.
  6. After the reset, check to see if your phone continues to restart on its own.
