whenever I talk on the I5s, when I put my ear to the phone, it beeps and keeps interrupting any possibility of a conversation is there a way I can stop that beeping?

Can you please hold on the phone the power and home buttons for about 10 seconds until you see the Apple Logo, then release.

Let the phone restart and when it has, tell me if you still have the issue please.

If you connect headphones to the phone, do you hear the beep in the headphones?

the cell phone died haves SIM card in it and no I don't have another cell phone here.

ok, then we need to reset the phone to rule this out.

First, backup any data on the iPhone you need to keep as this process will remove all data and return the phone to new.

then go to settings, General, reset, erase all content and reset settings.

Let this complete, setup the phone again and tell me if you still have the issue please.

ok, now I'm on my computer so I can type better now. Maybe I should take my cell to where I bought it and have him chan gge the sim card and see if that works. I must confess that I've never backed up my phone before and I'm nervous about that.

It will not be the sim card that's at fault.

Do you have data on the iPhone eg: Photos, contacts ect, that you need to back up?

ok, download itunes from www.itunes.com

Install it on your computer and once installed, connect your iPhone to the computer.

Then choose Device, Backup and you can then perform the backup

Once the phone is backed up, please disconnect it and do the reset as I indicated.

This is optional, and if you choose to do this, I can, with your permission, remote into your computer while you watch and do all these steps (and deal with any problems that arise during them) for you.
