I have an iPhone 5 that I no longer use. I do not have the email address associated with the phone any longer. How can I reset it with a new iCloud user name and password?

If it has the icloud lock on it then there is no way you can ever use it again if you are not able to get the Apple ID password *****

You can try a restore, if it is not icloud locked it will let you reset to factory condition.

You will need a computer that had iTunes software installed.

Then follow these steps,

  • Connect the USB cable to the iPhone, but leave the other end of the cable disconnected from your computer's USB port.
  • press and hold the Sleep/Wake and Home buttons at the same time.
  • When the device turns off, release the Sleep/Wake and Home buttons.
  • While pressing and holding the Home button, connect the USB cable to the computer. The device should turn on.
  • Continue holding the Home button until you see the "Connect to iTunes" screen.
  • When this screen appears you can release the Home button:
  • Then use iTunes to restore the iPhone.
