I'm in the Navy and I had my contract suspended while on deployment, however my Vortex is used as my alarm clock but the time won't update on it so it's currently 7 hours behind. How can I manually change it?
Already Tried: gone through my phone completely trying to find a manual time change option. no luck. restarted phone numerous times. no luck. remove battery and replaced it numerous times. no luck.

Hi there, and welcome to JustAnswer, I look forward to assisting you today with your question and providing the best answer possible. Can you tell me the model of the vortex please?
I'm not sure what you mean by the model. The SW version is; VS660zv7
ok, I assume it is the LG Vortex?Have you made a call with it?
Yes it is. Not since I've been in a new time zone because I had the service suspended since I'm just heading back to my ship overseas. I tried calling the *611 number that I use to reconnect and suspend service through Verizon to see if that would work, but all it tells me is "mobile network not available".
Thanks April. The Vortex is completely automatic and actually has no option to change the time. It is always updated when you make a call on the phone. This is seen as "convenient" but is actually an annoyance for a lot of people.I am really sorry, and as silly as it sounds for this phone, but the time can only be updated once you have made a call. It will get the time from the Cell Network and set it correctly. If you require any additional information, please do not hesitate to let me know.
