I CURRENTLY USE STRAIGHT TALK FOR MY WIRELESS PHONE SERVER. I WISH TO SWITCH TO VERIZON WIRELESS. CAN I USE THE PHONE I HAVE AND ACTIVATE IT WITH VERIZON
Already Tried: THE PHONE I HAVE IS SERVED BY SPRINT TOWERS AND THE SERVICE TRUELY SUCKS.IT IS A SAMSUNG GALAXY PRECEDENT. JUST GOT IT TWO DAYS AGO. I WASN`T INFORMED THAT SERVICE WOULD BE AVAILABLE IN MY AREA.
Hello! I would be glad to assist you today.
Yes, since you are operating on the CDMA side of the Straight Talk Network (Sprint) you will be able to use your phone on the Verizon network, they are also a CDMA provider.
Straight Talk phones will be locked to their network. Before you can use it on Verizon you will need to get it unlocked. There are many services out there that provide unlock codes for reasonable prices. I would suggest using one of those. Sometimes if you call your provider, in this case, Straight Talk, they will provide you with a code. (Tell them you are going overseas for vacation and would like to use it with a local provider).
