Is there anyway I can check if my iPhone is being tapped or listened to by anyone; or if my messages are being intercepeted??

There is no clear cut method to determine if someone is monitoring your phone.
Assuming you are talking about a person, and not the authorities........
In order to actually be tracking your messages someone would have had to have physical access to the iphone. Being password XXXXX this IS unlikely unless someone knows your code.
The ONLY way to be completely sure that there is nothing like this installed on your iphone is to restore the phone to factory settings. Directions for this are here.......

This will erase everything on the iphone, so don't do this unless you feel absolutely necessary.
