I dropped my iphone 3gs & now the touchscreen is off or just wont work? How do I reset? I have already completely turned it off & back on, but almost disfunctional unless pressing down very hard & then it almost always clicks on something near where I was really trying to click
Already Tried: turning off & back on
HiDo you mean that the iphone turns on and you can see your homepage / icons, etc correctly ?But when you touch / tap on the icons, they do not respond correctly ?When did you buy this iphone and from whereAndy
yes, thats exactly what i mean, i bought the phone off of amazon early this year
Hi,As per the symptoms, its a calibration issue. Now, you can try to do a system restore to reinstall the OS and it can possibly resolve the issue. But its a time consuming process and it might not resolve the problem. The easiest solution you have is to simply goto an Apple store near you and tell them that suddenly you are facing this problem. Dont tell them that you had dropped it, etc.As the unit is in warranty, they will repair / replace the iPhone for free of cost.Feel free to ask any question or concern you may have. I will be glad to help you.
Positive Feedback and BONUS are always appreciated.

Im afraid the store may not help as it was not new when purchased off of amazon, also it is jailbroke so system restore scares me....im aware that it is a calibration issue & was hoping for a quick fix, so i dont want 2 pay for your advice/answer, maybe $5, but not worth $9
Hi,There is no calibration setting that you can change in the iphone.Even if the iPhone is jailbroken, Apple store can still help you. Simply go and speak to their representative at store and they will surely help you out.Else, if you want I can explain you the restore process. But as you know, its risky.Feel free to ask any question or concern you may have. I will be glad to help you.
