why cant my son text my palm pre plus from his ipod? he has the text free app, and he can call me, but text doesnt go through. I cant text but can call him...
Already Tried: Checked all settings, everything seems to be set and working correctly otherwise.

yes. He can text everyone else he tries, to every other type phone in our calling circle. I've also had another friend text me from another ipod and it works fine.
Ok, then I KNOW this isn't the answer you were hoping for. If thats the case, then the issue actually lies with how your Palm and the Server for the free texting app are communicating, or the lack of communication actually.
There isn't a way to "fix" this, and your best option is to have your son use the "contact developers" link for the app he got off iTunes and to send an email to the developers asking why texts sent to a Palm Pre will not go through. Since it works for all other phones, the issue isn't his iPod, but your phone and the way it is handling that incoming information from the free text apps servers.
