I have a samsung SGH-A867 cell phone. After charging it last night the screen is black and in bright red letters at the top it says
DEMSBL BOOT Loader for MSM6290 more than Downloader V5.58
I tried taking the battery out and turning off, but this is all I get

That isa boot kernel issue. The phone may be toast :( How long have you had it?

Please try the steps below in this EXACT order.

Remove the battery and SIM (if you have on, varies by carrier) from the phone and wait 20 seconds, then, with the battery still out, plug it into your wall charger, then place the battery and SIM back in and turn the phone back on.

Crap. About your only shot is to take it to your wireless provider and see if they have the firmware update computer to reload the OS. I am so sorry.
