Jesse :

Hello, and welcome to JustAnswer.com!

My name is XXXXX XXXXX I'm here to help.

Jesse :

You should simply need to:

1. Connect the iPhone to your computer.
2. Open My Computer, and you should see the iPhone listed there as a device.

Jesse :

3. Double click the iPhone, and drag any photos in the DCIM folder to your Desktop or a folder on your Desktop.

Jesse :

That should do it. If what I recommended doesn't help, or if you have additional questions, please let me know and we can continue troubleshooting.

Customer:

there is nothing in the DCIM folder. Or am I doing something wrong?

Jesse :

Are the pictures in the normal Photos app on the iPhone?

Customer:

I think so. What do you mean by normal Photos app? I just took pictures over the years and stored them where they appeared.

Jesse :

Okay, there are some apps that store photos in a different place, but if you used the normal photos app, that's fine. What folders do you see when you open the iPhone on the PC?

Jesse :

Besides the DCIM folder.

Customer:

Just DCIM folder.

Customer:

The pictures are stored in Photo Albums on the Camera Roll

Jesse :

Okay, hold on one minute.

Jesse :

Which version of Windows are you using?

Customer:

My Iphone has no service anymore. Does it need to be in service (with AT&T)? I am using Windovs Vista

Jesse :

No, shouldn't need service.

Jesse :

Does the phone have a passcode?

Customer:

What do you mean by passcode? Password XXXXX I type in when I want to open it? It has that.

Jesse :

Okay, unplug the phone, enter the passcode, and then connect it to your computer.

Jesse :

Then try going into the DCIM folder again.

Customer:

there are 2 folders in DCIM folder. 101APPLE and 100APPLE. Both are empty. They were there before reconnectiong it to computer this time.

Customer:

Sorry! They are not empty anymore! I see pictures. How do I download them?

Jesse :

Just drag them to a folder on your computer

Jesse :

You could even drag those folders themselves and it will copy over.

Customer:

Is window gallery o.k.?

Jesse :

Yeah, that's fine.

Customer:

Thank you Jesse, I have my pictures.

Customer:
