Customer Question

my 5-6 yr old feral cat started vomiting food one time and harks loud then vomits white foam. Has always been healthy but very overweight.
JA: I'm sorry to hear that. Hopefully it didn't make a mess. Did the cat eat anything unusual?
Customer: she could have. Likes to go outside on sunny days and I've caught her eating grass. I'll bet that's it. Grass was fertilized 3-4 weeks ago. What should I give her?
JA: What is the cat's name?
Customer: Ellie and she is off limits for picking her up - a frightened attack cat (don't know what she lived through as a homeless cat.
JA: Is there anything else important you think the Veterinarian should know about Ellie?
Customer: She is too mean to pick up to take to vet. Only wants to be near you in same room but not too close.

Hello & welcome, I am Dr. B, a licensed veterinarian and I would like to help you with your wee one today.

How long has she been showing signs?

Can she keep water down?

Are her gums pink or white/pale? Moist or sticky?

If you press on her belly, does she have any tensing, tenderness, discomfort, or pain?

Could she have eaten anything she should not have (ie bones, toys, plants, chemicals, human meds, etc)?

Any diarrhea?
