She has begun drooling excessively. Her chest hairs are wet and when she lays on her side saliva pools under her head. This isn
JA: I'm sorry to hear that. Could be a lot of things that cause lethargy. The veterinarian will know how to help the cat. What is the cat's name and age?
Customer: Tiko - female age 5 - just saw her vet mid Sept & had another allergic reaction to the leukemia vacine - we've been through with that for about 2-weeks now she seems lethargic - not her normal friendly self and the drooling started about two days ago and is much worse today
JA: Is there anything else the veterinarian should be aware of about Tiko?
Customer: Eating seems ok no change in food (dry only) and may be drinking more water - can't tell about potty box as it's automatic. Haven't heard her go downstairs today

That extreme drooling can be caused by a couple of different issues: ingestion of a chemical irritant (some plants, bleach, cleaning supplies, etc), dental disease, biting an electrical cord or extreme nausea. Have you applied any flea/tick products recently? Are there any plants in the household she has access to?

Customer: replied 3 months ago.
No new plants & no chew marks on any of the ones I have - definitely no flea products!!! Can's see where anything has spilled that she could have gotten in to - this started Saturday - She is long-haired & threw up a major hair ball middle of last week - has been eating ok & I think has been drinking more water today

Your very welcome. You can post follow up questions for a couple of days on this thread, even after rating my response. If you don't mind I would love a follow up note on how she is doing. Take care
