Have Cat Questions? Ask a Cat Vet Online.
Hello, JACustomer. I have been a Veterinary Nurse for over 15 years and would be happy to help you today. I'm reviewing your question right now.
I am sorry to see that you haven't heard back from us sooner. How is your companion doing this morning?
Please let me know and, if possible, take a few pictures so that I can see what you are seeing.
How old is he?Can you tell if there is any blood?
My concern is a urinary tract infection or even a blockage (a UTI can develop into a blockage quickly). The fact that he is eating well is a good sign. If this is a blockage, he's going to go downhill pretty quickly as far as his health. In many cases that takes place in just as little as a few hours. Is there any option of keeping him inside today for monitoring? If you cannot get him to a vet, contacting a mobile vet is probably going to be your best option.
Checking in, JACustomer. I didn't hear back from you yesterday. How is your companion doing? Do you need more assistance?
I'm glad to hear he is improving.I read your comment about not being able to pick him up, this is why I recommended a mobile vet. They come to you instead of you going to them. This keeps you from having to do the hard part and leaves that job to the professionals. I think this may be your best bet for having him examined.
