My 15 yr old cat has been sleeping in our closet all

Customer Question

My 15 yr old cat has been sleeping in our closet all day...not her normal place. Appears to be in discomfort, limping on hind legs. May be breathing shallow.
JA: I'm sorry to hear that. Could be a lot of things that cause lethargy. The veterinarian will know how to help the cat. What is the cat's name?
Customer: Dilly, she lets out a little cry when she stands up. She is eating.
JA: Is there anything else the veterinarian should be aware of about Dilly?
Customer: No other conditions...she may be a bit constipated. She did produce a small stool a few minutes ago but had not gone for over 24 hours.

Hello & welcome, I am Dr. B, a licensed veterinarian and I would like to help you today.

Any chance of an injury or trauma for Dilly?

Was the stool very hard? Does she seem sore when you press on her belly?

Are her back legs cooler then her front legs?

Are his gums pink or pale/white?
Can you take a breathing rate for me (just count her breaths for 10 seconds + multiply that by 6)?
