She seems lethargic, eyes not completely open. Dry heaving

Customer Question

She seems lethargic, eyes not completely open. Dry heaving and lip smacking. Still purrs when touched though
JA: I'm sorry to hear that. Could be a lot of things that cause lethargy. The Veterinarian will know how to help the cat. What is the cat's name and age?
Customer: Bow, spayed female, about five years
JA: Is there anything else important you think the Veterinarian should know about Bow?
Customer: She's an inside/outside cat so I'm not 100% able to monitor her Also, we've adopted a FH1 positive kitten about two months ago

We just ate some home made chicken soup, she wasn't interested in any chicken bits, turning her head away. She got up and used the cat door to go outside.

Hello & welcome, I am Dr. B, a licensed veterinarian and I would like to help you today.

Any gagging, retching, drooling, vomiting or diarrhea?

Any change to her drinking or breathing?

Are her gums pink or pale/white? Moist or sticky?

If you press on her belly, any discomfort, tenderness, or tensing?

Could she have eaten something she should not have (ie bones, toys, plants, chemicals, etc)?

Any tearing from her eyes or changes when you open the eyes to examine them?
