a neighbor's cat was attacked by a fox. cat's rabies status is unknown. The cat was taken to a medical facitiy and needs surgery for a broken jaw. Have found a surgeon to do operstion but they need a place where cat can go while on intervenious feeding before quarantine. Do you know of a ct vet that will care for cat till it can go to a regular place to finish the quarantine period

I will post a list of vets to call tomorrow. Most vet clinics will offer services for feeding/quaratine so long as they have the staff time to commit to such a case. Is there also a retired vet that would take on this job if I have no luck with one of the places you suggested. Also we are close to north and south salem,ny as well as Brewster, and carmel,ny. Any suggestions for there.

Most retired vets are finished with veterinary work once they retire. However, depending on your state's regulations a veterinary nurse may be able to offer such care if a clinic does not. I'll be surprised if you don't find what you're looking within the links. Also try here:
