Posted by JustAnswer at customer's request) Hello. I would like to request the following Expert Service(s) from you: Live Phone Call. Let me know if you need more information, or send me the service offer(s) so we can proceed.

It's very common for kittens that young to nurse on Anything. What I would do is separate the kitten from his littermates. Make sure he's warm and fed. ok to put some Neosporin on it but other than that he should be fine.

I'm sorry my state does not allow phone calls to clients with out a physical exam. If you would like me to opt out so another vet who can make phone calls can call you just let me know

Customer: replied 2 months ago.
He won't be nursed if I separate him though?
Expert:  Dr. Levinson replied 2 months ago.

You'll have to either bottle feed him or let him nurse by himself without his littermates around

He is red and swollen...should I worry about infection?
Expert:  Dr. Levinson replied 2 months ago.

Like I said a little Neosporin is ok to apply to it as long as the other kittens aren't going to lick it off. I think once he's been separated from his littermates the redness and swelling will subside
