Have Cat Questions? Ask a Cat Vet Online.
Hello, I'm Dr Gary. I've been practicing veterinary medicine since 2007. I look forward to helping with your questions/ concerns.
I wouldn't be too worried about her not having a bowel movement. After an episode of diarrhea and decreased appetite, it can take 2-3 days before stool is formed and starts moving through the colon.
If she were straining, I would be more worried about her. Without any straining, it's probably an issue where her colon cleaned out and now new stool needs to form.
If the vomiting returns or she is straining, then I would shoot x-rays. In that case, I'm looking for a foreign body obstruction, signs of constipation or any masses in the GI tract. I don't think this is the issue, but it's worth being aware about so you have a plan.
I hope this helps, let me know if you have any other questions.
