my cat has a lot of swelling after being gone all day around her eye. no scratches on her eye. do i need to take her to emergency care even though she doesn't seem to be hurting or itching?

it has no discharge and it still looks ok in the eyeball when i look up close. what could i do

Thanks for the picture.....yes she absolutely needs to be seen tonight.....as there could be injury to her cornea.....her cornea needs to be stained by a vet and make sure no corneal injury......it could just be scratch to conjunctiva but could also be in the cornea......you need to take he rot the ER.

They will put her on antibiotics to be given every 2 hours into the eye and also pain medicine. If you wait until morning she could lose her eye.....

you cannot see corneal injury without staining the cornea......and only a vet can do that...
