My cat, an eight year-old female tabby, is behaving

Customer Question

My cat, an eight year-old female tabby, is behaving strangely today. Her pupils are large, her breathing is intermittently fast and then normal and she's shown no interest in food (which is unusual).
She seemed to brighten up earlier after using her litter tray (she's an indoor cat) but is now on the bed and is not very responsive when I talk to her and stroke her.

I am sorry to hear you are worried about Tiger. How long has she been like this?

My name is Rebecca. I am a veterinarian and will do my best to help.

Could she have gotten into and eaten anything she shouldn't? The enlarged pupils are a concern she might have eaten by accident some medication or drug. If you check her mouth, are her gums pink or pale in appearance?
