My cat is lethargic & looks frail, and not moving around

Customer Question

My cat is lethargic & looks frail, and not moving around very much since yesterday.
Eating very little, but drinking a lot of water.
The weather is very hot at our place and she had been out yesterday. Wondering if it could be dehydration - If yes what can we do ?
Or if it could be something else ?Thanks

Hello,

I am sorry Sundari is not feeling well.

Does she normally go outdoors?
What foods does she eat?

What and when did she eat last?

Is she in the house now?

Thanks

Terri

Rub a drop of honey or karo syrup into her gums to raise her blood sugar in case she is hypoglycemic. That should perk her up.

Wipe her down with a cool damp cloth (not ice).

Drain the water from a can of people tuna into a bowl.Let her lap it up for hydration.

Get canned cat food or baby food chicken with no onion or garlic.

Let me know if she eats any of those.

As long as she is drinking water it is a good sign.
